Strong Month for Newmarket - July Real Estate Market Update

Despite July being traditionally a slower month, Newmarket's home sales have increased. The average price for a house in Newmarket was $785,365 - that's higher than in June ($771,735) and a 1.3% increase compared to July 2018. It's also the highest average since February. Newmarket's prices are now pretty much exactly where they were two years ago (July 2017: $788,629).

Aurora's average home price ($828,001) is 2% lower than last year ($844,047). On a positive note, 109 homes have sold in July. That's the forth month in a row with 100 sales in Aurora.

Although the average home price in East Gwillimbury has increased compared to the previous month (July: $786,566 // June: $778,401), prices are still 5% lower than last year ($828,298). But just like in Aurora, sales activity is picking up. 58 homes have sold in July in East Gwillimbury (2018: 44).
