Low inventory remains the main reason for tight market conditions. Hence prices in our area keep rising.

Aurora Prices over $1.4 Million

The average home price in September in Aurora was $1,405,893. That reflects a 24.8% increase compared to last year ($1,126,908) and the highest price average in Aurora ever. While one year ago there were 246 listings available, this September there were only 83 listings on the market. Average days on the market per listing was 22.

On top of that, the most expensive home sale in Aurora ever reported on MLS occurred this September; 18 Sirona's Lane sold for $9,450,000.

Newmarket Prices keep rising

Another record was set in Newmarket where the average price in September hit $1,138,999 - an increase of 24.2% on a year-over-year basis. The average price for a detached home was $1,283,029. Like in Aurora, inventory was scarce. Only 91 listings were available, that's 56% less than last year (211). The average price in East Gwillimbury was $1,280,519 (+38.8% compared to 2020).

Throughout Toronto and the GTA Realtors reported a total of 9046 sales on the MLS System; 18% less than last year. The average price of $1,136,280 reflects a 18.3% increase on a year-over year basis.
