Number of Sales up again in Aurora, Newmarket and EG - May Real Estate Market Report

While prices are still stable, the sales activity in our area keeps picking up. 129 homes have sold in Aurora in May, that's significantly more than in May 2018 (97 homes) and also more than in May 2017 (121).

Compared to last year, the average home price in Aurora was down by 9% (avg. 2019: $830,668 // avg. 2018: $913,410). But the Median Price for Aurora year-over-year hasn't changed at $810,000 and is higher than it was in April ($747,000).

Positive Trends in Newmarket

The average home price in Newmarket this May ($740,888) was pretty much the same like last May ($739,239). Compared to April, Newmarket's prices are up by 2.3%. 143 homes have sold in May, that's 46% more than in May 2018 (98 homes).

In East Gwillimbury prices were slightly up in May ($811,071) compared to April ($808,187). Although more homes have sold in May '19 (64) than last May (50), year-over-year prices are down by 5.5%.
