The Real Estate Market in Newmarket has done very well in June. The average house price went up 5.4% compared to May, from $739,239 to $778,866. What even stands out more is the number of sales: While in May we’ve had 98 homes sold, there were 128 sales in June. That’s significantly more than one year ago, when 108 homes have sold in Newmarket.

So has the market bounced back? Not quite yet I’d say, as the average home price compared to June 2017 is still lower in Newmarket (-1.7%), Aurora (-13.3%) and also East Gwillimbury (-18.5%).

While Newmarket prices have gone up last month, the average house price in Aurora went slightly down (-1.7%) from $913,410 in May to $897,550 in June. But sales have increased from 67 homes sold to 93. So I think it’s fair to say that Aurora is currently experiencing a very stable and balanced market.

In East Gwillimbury prices have decreased in the last month by 6.5% (May average: $858,620 / June: $802,704).

  • Newmarket Prices and Sales up
  • Aurora Market very stable and balanced
  • More Homes sold in June 2018 than in June 2017
  • Average Home Prices compared to last year still down between 1.7% (Newmarket) and 18.5% (East Gwillimbury).
