July Sales slightly up

Home Sales in Toronto and the GTA have slightly increased this July compared to last year. Realtors on the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) have reported a total of 5391 Sales, an increase of 3.3% on a year-over-basis.
“It was encouraging to see an uptick in July sales relative to last year”, said TRREB President Jennifer Pearce. “We may be starting to see a positive impact from the two Bank of Canada rate cuts announced in June and July.”
York Region down - Aurora 8% up
The average price for all types of homes combined ($1,106,617) was down by 1%. The average price in all of York Region ($1,305,476) was 3.8% lower than last July, but Sales were also slightly up.
In Aurora prices have increased by 8% from $1,315,006 to now $1,420,307. Newmarket on the other side went down from $1,228,146 twelve months ago to now $1,131,521 (-6.3%).
East Gwillimbury’s average of $1,275,826 dropped by 8.8%, but Bradford saw an increase from $1,115,790 to $1,160,479 (+4%).
