Aurora Prices 33% up! - July Real Estate Market Report

July has been a historical month for real estate in Aurora. The average house price was $1,101,096 which reflects a 33% increase on a year-over-year basis. Only in February, March and April of 2017 have prices ever been higher. A detached home in Aurora cost $1,288,348 on average last month.

Newmarket and EG Prices lower than in June, but still very strong

Prices in Newmarket are up by 27.5% percent compared to last year (2020: $858,955 / 2019: $785,365) and sales have increased by 9.4%; 176 homes sold in in July. Compared to June, the average price has slightly decreased by 3.4%. Same in East Gwillimbury ($966,408) where the average price came down by 5.7% compared to June. But on a year-over-year basis a home in East Gwillimbury sold for 23% more than in July 2019.

New Record for July

A total of 11,081 sales were reported on the MLS System of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board. This reflects a 29.5% increase and a new record for July. The average home price in Toronto and the GTA was $943,710 and up 16.9% compared to last year's July.
