We hope you've enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend! Our local Real Estate Market in June was as hot as the last days' temperatures.

Aurora and Newmarket prices more than 15% up

Home prices in Aurora rose over 1 Million for the first time since September 2017. $1,039,565 was the average price, which reflects a 16.6% increase compared to June 2019 and a 15% increase compared to this year's May. Sales have doubled; while only 48 homes sold in May, 94 sales were reported on the MLS in June.

The average price in Newmarket in June was $889,534. It's the 4th highest monthly average in history and a 15.25% increase on a year-over-year basis. Never have homes in Newmarket sold for more since Apri 2017.

East Gwillimbury Homes over 1 Million

In East Gwillimbury the home prices exceeded the 1-Million-Mark only for the third time in history. The June average of $1,025,359 reflects a 31.7% increase compared to June 2019. Sales volume went up from 25 homes being sold in May to 60 in June.

As anticipated we're experiencing a "Spring Market" in Summer. Buyers are back out looking and showings have picked up since mid-May as the graph below illustrates. We're noticing more buyers from Toronto looking to purchase in York Region, appreciating larger properties with a backyard versus smaller downtown semi-detached homes or condos.
