Aurora Sales double, Newmarket Prices 5% up - February Real Estate Market Report

We're experiencing a very active Real Estate market. 98 homes have sold this February in Aurora, which is almost double compared to February 2019 (50). The average home price in Aurora was $928,239 and remained the same on a year-over-year basis. The average price for a detached home in town is $1,100,425.

Highest Prices in Newmarket since May 2017

Newmarket's sales went from 79 homes in February 2019 to 141 this year. As market conditions tightened, competition between buyers has increased which brought the average selling price from $792,418 to $831,970 - a 5% increase on a year-over-year basis and the highest average since May 2017. The prices in East Gwillimbury went up by 3.5% from $773,832 to 800,765.

TREB reports price increase of 16.7%

Throughout the Toronto Real Estate Board a total of 7256 transactions was reported, representing a 45.6% increase compared to a 10-year sales low in February 2019. The average selling price for all home types combined was up by 16.7% to $910,290.
