Aurora Home Prices rise again - September Real Estate Market Report

We're looking back at another strong month in Real Estate. Especially in Aurora where the average home price has increased by 15.4% on a year-over-year basis from $976,427 in September 2019 to $1,126,908 in September 2020. The average price for a detached home in Aurora is $1,383,211. Compared to the previous month (August), prices have gone up another 10.5%.

Detached Homes in Newmarket over 1 Million

In Newmarket things have slightly cooled off, as prices in September were 1.5% lower than in August. However, on a year-over-year basis the average home cost 13% more than last year (September 2020: $917,234 / September 2019: $811,223). The average price for a detached home in Newmarket is now over 1 Million ($1,022,361).

Similar to Newmarket, prices in East Gwillimbury came down a little compared to August, but are still 9% up compared to last year (September 2020: $922,841 / September 2019: 846,755).

Another Record Month

Throughout Toronto and the entire GTA, a total of 11,083 Sales were reported on the Toronto Real Estate Board - a new record for the month of September (+42.3% compared to September 2019). The average home price in the GTA was $960,772 - up by 14% year-over-year.
