Continuous Upward Trend in Aurora/Newmarket - October Real Estate Market Report

After a strong September our local Real Estate Market keeps improving. In October home prices in Aurora were up on a year-over-year basis for the second month in a row. The average price for a house was $945,972 - that's an increase of 4.3% compared to last year ($906,928). 89 Homes have sold, just a few  more than in October 2018 (82).

The average home price in Newmarket in October ($749,501) was pretty much the same like in 2018 ($751,325). But sales have gone up: 135 homes sold, 16 more than in October 2018. Prices in East Gwillimbury are about 1% down on a year-over-year basis (October 2019: $793,899 / 2018: $801,326).

Throughout the entire Toronto Real Estate Board, we've seen an increase of the average home price ($852,142) by 5.5%. This represents the strongest annual rate of growth since December 2017.
